| Le développement d'un élevage nouveau peut entrainer des conséquences biologiques et économiques, dans un secteur conchylicole traditionnel. Après une présentation de la baie du Mont Saint-Michel et de ses activités, l’étude fournit une évaluation du niveau de nourriture pour les bivalves. Les possibilités biologiques de développement de l’élevage de la palourde sans impact sur les cultures existantes sont montrées. Enfin, la faisabilité économique du projet est analysée de même que la sensibilité des résultats selon différentes hypothèses. |

| Quality assurance specifications, standards and inspection organisms are presented. French and international status shows that quality assurance is sharply expanding. Several french research institutes have started this kind of step wich has led to analysis laboratories accreditation. European regulation will oblige organisms such as IFREMER to give anal ysis results coming from accreditated laboratories (thermotolerant coliforms and phycotoxins). Different phases of laboratories accreditation are presented. Reflection on quality assurance in research has been developed on the behalf of Upper Education and Research Ministry. |

| In 1985, twenty discolored waters have been observed with dinoflagellates as the most frequently encountered group. Shellfishes mortalities due to occurence of Gyrodinium spirale were observed in Etang de Thau. Likewise, the growth of molluscs juveniles was inhibited by a bloom of Gyrodinium aureolum (Tinduff area). At last, development of Dinophysis cf. acuminata in some coastal areas has caused provisional prohibition of shellfishes selling. However, economic consequences were less important than in 1984 and particularly with regard to 1983. |

| Discolored waters and human diseases by shellfishes were dominant features of summer 1983 in south coast of Brittany. Vilaine Bay, the most damaged area, was successively affected by brown waters in early June, and diarrhetic intoxications by harvested mussels (July and August), just as DPS producing dinoflagellate (D. acuminata ) reached higher water or mussel guts concentrations than years before. Outspreading in the whole south coast of Brittany and possible relation with hydrological or biological parameters are analyzed. |

| Three oyster samplers, collected in 1976, 77 and 78 have beer grown, each one after 3 differents densities in order to determine the influence of the load of breeding over growth and improvement of quality of oysters. The results show that quality of oysters is rapidly altered when the density of breeding increases and that gametogenesis physiolical prevails over growth, particularly for older oyster. A variation of the date of "détroquage" (oysters off supports that collect spat) will be determined, according to spat collecting and speed of spat growth. We are here suggesting a "production"coefficient. |

| Consequences of drought and canicule during the summer of 1976 are related. An analysis allow as to mark out five main districts : Charente, Seudre, North, South and Center of the bassin, each of them with distinctive hydrological and phytoplaktonic characteristics. The rivers Charente and Seudre are particulary eutrophic and any great quantities of nitrates, phosphates and silicates. Eutrophic evaluation of the river Seudre is studied, as well as oyster mortalities that resulted. Reproduction and settlement of spat oysters are related to the hydrology of each distric. |

| On peut dire que les phénomènes d'eaux colorées ont peu intéressé l'opinion publique francaise, hormis quelques scientifiques, jusqu'en 1978. En effet, cette année là, une eau rouge de grande ampleur (30 km) pouvait être observée sur la côte normande pendant deux semaines. Les organismes responsables, Gonyaulax polygramma et G. spinifera étaient rapidement identifiés, et, vu le caractère non toxique de ces deux dinoflagellés, tout risque vis-A-vis de la conchyliculture locale a été écarté (LASSUS et al., 1980). |
